I know it has been TOO long since I have posted last. I have great news finally...C finally got a job!!! We are THRILLED! He got laid off on October 19, so it has been almost 2 months. Not exactly the best time of year to not have a job either! Well, our Christmas miracle finally came! He wasn't exactly qualified for the job either, but they liked him so much they hired him! I am SO PROUD of him!! Things are finally looking up for us! =)

This month is full of exciting things! My birthday is on Friday the 12th (yay!), then Christmas, and then my mom is coming to visit for a week! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER!!! We are going to have so much fun shopping and cooking and just spending quality time together!

On the TTC front, C and I decided to put that on hold awhile. We want to make sure he has time to get settled into his job, and get out of debt! Hopefully in about 6 months or so we can start TTC again =) I can't wait!!!

1. I was born with a hemangioma that grew to the size of a baseball on my chin by the time I was 5. I had 7 laser surgeries to remove it!

2.The doctor who did my surgeries did not make my parents pay what the insurance didn't cover! I will NEVER forget him.

3. I was engaged to my previous boyfriend of 4 1/2 years. I broke it off 6 months before the wedding & met DH 7 months later. I KNEW he the was the one!

4. I love the elderly! I work in an assisted living facility and take care of mainly dementia patients. I LOVE my job!

5. I am missing two teeth! I did not have permanent teeth to grow in after I lost my baby teeth. I have worn an invisiline retainer for the past 10 years with 2 fake teeth in it. The really great thing is NO ONE KNOWS unless I tell them. I had THE GREATEST orthodontist!

6. I am obsessed with The Nest/The Bump even though I don't post much. Yes, I am mainly a lurker ::hangs head in shame::

7. I am ashamed to admit that I am a myspace addict as well!! That is how I keep in touch with most of my friends from back home (Indiana)!

Happy hump day!

So, I realized this morning that if I am going to have a blog, I need to write in it! =) The past week has been a little stressful. C has been working so hard to try and find a job. He has had 3 interviews this week, all of which went well. The problem you may ask? They don't pay very well at all! I know I know, a job is a job! Yes, I am happy that he WILL have a job. We are waiting to hear from one of the employers that pays the most. Hopefully we will hear something by Friday. Keep your fingers crossed!

I worked Thursday through Sunday this past week. 46 hours in 4 days! Needless to say, I slept most of the day away Monday =) Yesterday C and I went to the store. We are trying so hard to spend as little money as possible right now. We made it out of Safeway with a full cart of groceries for $77, so I thought that was pretty good! =) It was for us anyway, we like to eat!

The best thing that has happened this week? I got paid today! My check was very nice, considering it had 93 hours on it! =) I don't get paid until the 20th again, so we will have to watch every penny! C did apply for unemployment back in Indiana. It has been approved, but there is a waiting period until you receive your first check. Hopefully we will get that soon!

I will try to keep this up to date! I work for the next 3 days though, 12 hours each so I won't be doing much except sleeping and working!

Where to start....

My husband C & I just moved from Indiana to northwest Washington State. It was hard leaving behind my family and friends! My hope for this blog is to keep my family & friends up to date with our lives!

The last month has been a whirlwind! We left Indiana on 9/28/08 and started our four day, 2,700 mile journey across the country. It was an amazing experience seeing parts of the country I have never seen before! Thankfully my wonderful in-laws made this move possible! They also allowed us to live with them until we got on our feet (which happened faster than we anticipated)! We arrived on a Wednesday and by the time Friday rolled around, both my husband and I had jobs! Being a nurse, I really wasn't concerned about finding a job out here. My husband got a job working with his dad. We also found an apartment the next week or so. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and about 1,100 square feet. We LOVE it! We moved in about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Unfortunately with the way the economy is, my husband was laid off last week (along with many other people)! He has been working really hard to find another job. He has an interview today with Best Buy & then we are going to a job fair this afternoon.

Tonight we are going to his parents house to eat dinner. I'm excited because we haven't seen them since we moved into our apartment. They are absolutely wonderful, and if not for them I don't know if I could make it out here! It has been hard without my mother though! =( We talk at least a few times a week, and I am so thankful we are able to do that. She is coming to visit over New Years and I CAN'T WAIT!!! I miss my momma!

So, what's next for us you may ask? I don't want to give too much away, but we have been discussing the idea of adding to the family. =D We will wait & see what happens!!
